I made some fruit pastries for everyone on the 4th of July and they were really good! It was from a recipe I made at Artworks last month and it's really easy to make, too. You get pie crust and fill it with pie filling and then fold it over and then bake it for a little bit! We made apple and peach fruit pastires and I think they turned out great!
I got to do Artworks this summer and loved it! It's a cool summer school program where you do different art themed classes. It's only for kids going into 3-5 grade so this was my first year to do it. I did a Harry Potter cooking class that was a lot of fun! We made a lot of different things and some were really good and some kind of bad. We made a lot of chocolate stuff and I really liked it! Like chocolate dipped pretzels, almond bark covered rice krispie treats, lots of good stuff!
I also did an aerial class that was a lot of fun! You can watch me on the hoop here during the showcase that we had.
Me and Lucy and Daddy went to Big Rig night last week! Mommy was doing something with friends, so the three of us went! We went when we were like toddlers or in preschool and that was kind of most of the people there last week, but it was still fun! It was neat because they had all kinds of big trucks there. They had fire trucks, an RV, a city bus, an ambulance, a police car, a big semitruck and some more. You got to sit in all of the big rigs and I had a fun time. Lucy wasn't too excited to go, but I had fun! It was kind of hot, but still fun.
We went to Omaha last weekend to celebrate Gigi's 95th birthday! I can't believe she's 95 years old! It was a fun time and one of the fun things about it was a really neat pancake maker at the hotel we stayed at! So all you had to do was push a button and the machine would squirt out pancake batter and then a pancake would pop out! It was so neat and you could watch it all happen! The pancake tasted pretty good, too! I asked Mommy and Daddy if we could get one and they said probably not. But I think I"ll keep working on them to hopefully get one!
Mommy surprised me this week be letting me go to get my Bible engraved with my name! I've been wanting to do this for a long time and I was so excited when she said I could. I love how it turned out!
I now have fun water in my bathroom sink! We found these really neat water faucet attachment things at Menards and Mommy and Daddy let us get them! It just screws on to the faucet and then when you turn the water on it turns colors. It's really cool!
I had a sleepover with my two friends, Haddie and Hailey, a few weeks ago when Lucy was at church camp. It was so much fun! We call ourselves the Mustaters! It's kind of a long story why we do that but it's fun! We had a sleepover together at Haddie's house in May and then in July we're going to have a sleepover at Hailey's house!
So at my sleepover we played a clue game where we found stuff around the house and it was fun! We played Barbies and had Dominoes pizza for dinner and ice cream sundaes for dessert. Then we played outside in the Barbie car and we went night swimming! When we got home we made popcorn and watched a movie. We didn't go to sleep until like 11:30 and got up around 8 the next morning. Mommy made us pancakes and scrambled eggs for breakfast and then they all went home around 10:30 or so. It was a super fun time and I was sad for them to leave.
