We had a fun night at our school before school got out and I sang karaoke with some friends! I actually sang a few different times. You can watch me singing one of the songs here! It was fun! I was kind of nervous and scared at first, but I really had fun and can't wait to get to do it again!
I lost another tooth! I've lost so many teeth this year it's kind of funny! This tooth was my other big, front tooth and it had been really wiggly. It was kind of just barely hanging on. One Sunday morning I was playing with it and it just came out. I didn't even have to try really hard! Mommy and Daddy were still in bed so I went up and just smiled at Mommy and she saw my that my tooth was gone! It was fun to show them and I kind of talk funny now. I put my tooth in my tooth fairy pillow that night and she brought me $1 and some tic tacs! You can watch me look at my stuff from her here!
We had a really fun field day at school! It was kind of cold outside but we didn't care and we didn't get rained on! We played some fun water games where you had a cup that you had to run down to fill up a cup at the other end. Mommy was helping at that game and we raced each other! We had a fun tag game where we threw wet sponges at people to try and get them out. That was really fun! We had tug of war and played with the parachute, and got to have Andy's custard and snow cones! It was just a super fun day!
Last Thursday was the last day of school and I got the Citizenship Award for my class for first grade! I didn't know I was getting this and was so excited when my teacher called my name! It goes to one person in each class and it means that I was a great student all the way around all year! I got a certificate and a medal. The medal was kind of dinky, but I'm super proud of it! We had an assembly on the last day of school and this is when I got the award. They called my name and I went up in front of the whole school! It was kind of scary, but really cool! I just loved my teacher, Ms. Perkins. I loved my friends in my class, too. I also got an award for being a Writing Whiz!! I loved first grade!
We got to have a fun celebration at the end of school for taking all of our iReady tests during the year. We got to have pizza and eat outside. We were supposed to get to play outside for recess all day but it started raining really bad so we had to go inside. Our school has bounce houses so Mommy and her PTA friends set up the bounce houses in the gym and we got to play on them. It was a lot of fun and you can watch here! I had fun bouncing in the one house and then the other one had a slide to go down. It was fun!
