We didn't really do a whole lot of work the last few weeks of school. We did what Mommy calls "busy work" and I agree with her! The things we did were fun because they were talking about our year and the summer, but it got kind of old after a while. Here's what we did:
I finally had my third grade performance a few weeks before school got out. My last choir performance was that night, too. The choir sang first and then third grade did our performance. I got to be part of a little dance for the song Old King Glory. I was kind of embarassed to do it, but it ended up being fun and Mommy said she really like it. You can watch it here.
We've had a lot of rain and storms lately and a few weeks ago there were really bad storms predicted. There was actually a tornado in a town maybe like 30 miiles west of us and the predicted weather was so bad that a lot of things got canceled that night. I was supposed to get my hair cut that night but mommy changed it to another day because she didn't want to be out when the storm was going on. And our life group got canceled that night because of it. I was prepared, though! I got in my "storm shelter" and had my bike helmet on, just like the weather people told you to do!
We had the last skate night of the year in April. I really like going to skate night and love that I have my own skates to skate in! It's always fun seeing my friends and this time I skated with one of my best buds, Reed. He's a lot fun and it was fun to skate with him!
I got my hair cut a few weeks ago and I love it! I'd been wanting to get my hair cut for a while and it finally happened. I didn't realize how long my hair was until I got it cut. She cut off maybe about 4-4 1/2 inches! I like it being shorter and also like that I can still put it up in a ponytail!

We had a "teachers dress like students, students dress like teachers" spirit day in May. It was pretty fun! I wore a skirt like a lot of teachers do and I wore my belt bag all day like our principal wears. I also wore fun earrings like my first grade teacher wears. It was a fun spirit day!
Mother's Day was last weekend and I think I have the best mommy! I made her a card and a bookmark that she said she loved. Mommy is really good to me. She makes my lunch, she helps me figure out what to wear, she washes my hair for me, and she lets me play on the iPad a lot! I love her!
We went on a field trip to the Nature Center last month and it was pretty fun! We walked on the long trail and just looked at nature. It went along with the science unit we had been studying. After the Nature Center we went to a park and had lunch and then got to play a little. That was pretty fun!
We did self portraits againt his year in art class. We did them last year but this year we did them a little different. Here is mine! I'm green because everyone in my class was supposed to color ours different shades of green. I think it looks pretty good!
