Field Day!

We had a really fun field day at school! It was kind of cold outside but we didn't care and we didn't get rained on! We played some fun water games where you had a cup that you had to run down to fill up a cup at the other end. Mommy was helping at that game and we raced each other! We had a fun tag game where we threw wet sponges at people to try and get them out. That was really fun! We had tug of war and played with the parachute, and got to have Andy's custard and snow cones! It was just a super fun day!  

Citizenship Award!!

Last Thursday was the last day of school and I got the Citizenship Award for my class for first grade! I didn't know I was getting this and was so excited when my teacher called my name! It goes to one person in each class and it means that I was a great student all the way around all year! I got a certificate and a medal. The medal was kind of dinky, but I'm super proud of it! We had an assembly on the last day of school and this is when I got the award. They called my name and I went up in front of the whole school! It was kind of scary, but really cool! I just loved my teacher, Ms. Perkins. I loved my friends in my class, too. I also got an award for being a Writing Whiz!! I loved first grade! 

Pizza And Bounce House Fun!

We got to have a fun celebration at the end of school for taking all of our iReady tests during the year. We got to have pizza and eat outside. We were supposed to get to play outside for recess all day but it started raining really bad so we had to go inside. Our school has bounce houses so Mommy and her PTA friends set up the bounce houses in the gym and we got to play on them. It was a lot of fun and you can watch here! I had fun bouncing in the one house and then the other one had a slide to go down. It was fun! 

My First Ever Field Trip!

I got to go on a field trip last week with my class! It was my first field trip ever because I didn't get to go on one in pre-K and in kindergarten because of covid. It was really fun! Me and my class walked to a fire station that was like one half mile from our school. That was a long walk and we were all really tired! Mommy went with us so it was fun walking with her. Then when we got back to school we got to see a police dog and a mini police car that drives and talks! Oh and then we got to have ice cream from the ice cream truck! It was the absolute best field trip and best day! I love first grade!
