I started taking piano lessons this month! I really like it and am starting to learn some songs. Mommy says I do a really good job of practicing and I like my teacher, too. I can't wait until I can play some other songs. You can watch me practice here!
Last Thursday Mommy French braided my hair and I wore it to school like that then slept in it that night. On Friday morning she took out my braids and I had curly hair! I thought it looked so pretty! My teacher also wears crazy earrings on Fridays and she told us girls in class who have pierced ears that we could wear crazy earrings on Fridays, too. So I wore my super soft pom-pom earrings last Friday with my curly hair! I looked so good, but don't like having my picture taken!
I got to wear my jammies to school one day last week and I loved it! Almost everyday I ask Mommy if I can wear jammies to school and she most always says no! Well this day she couldn't say no because our class earned a jammies day for good behavior! Oh how I love, love, love wearing jammies all day, especially at school!
I lost my second tooth on Sunday, September 5! It was a bottom tooth and it was really, really loose. Daddy said we had to get it out because he was afraid it might fall out overnight and I would swallow it. So I was really scared and didn't want him to pull it because I was afraid it would hurt. I kind of got really upset and then he got some numbing stuff to put on my gum and that helped some. Then, all of a sudden, he just yanked my tooth out! It didn't really hurt that much and it didn't even bleed!! Mommy got my tooth fairy pillow out and I put my tooth in it.
In the morning I was really excited to see what she brought me in the morning! She brought me two dollars and some bubble gum! I have another lose tooth on the top, but I think it will be a while until that one is ready to come out!
We went swimming at Gumma and Poppy's house one last time for the summer on Labor Day. It was fun to swim out there! Lucy, Daddy, and Poppy swam with me. I've done such a good job swimming this year! I learned how to swim without my life jacket and love going under the water all the time!
Daddy and I played a fun game where he launched me into the water! He said he used to do that to Trevor and Cody all the time when they were my age! You can watch Daddy launch me here!
I started taking gymnastics classes last week! I've only had one lesson, but I really, really liked it! It was a lot of fun and I did so many different things! I go on Thursdays from 4-5 and I can't wait to go back this week! Here's a video that Mommy took of me doing something towards the end of class.
I love my first grade teacher, Ms Perkins! She's so nice and fun. And at the meet the teacher day she gave me a surprise to take home, but I couldn't open it until the night before school starts! It was so hard to not open it, but I waited!
I was super excited to open it and found that it was a jitter critter to help me not be nervous about the first day of school! Mommy also gave me "The Night Before First Grade" book, so I was totally prepared for the first day of first grade!
My 6 1/2 year birthday was on Friday, August 20! Mommy, of course, had a little present for me! It was a Chelsea Barbie doll and some Kinderjoy candies. I love both! I had a fun day because it was meet the teacher day at school so I got to do that. Then Gumma and Poppy took us to lunch and we went swimming at the pool. Mommy and Daddy let us get Chick-fil-A for dinner and they sang happy half year birthday to me! You can watch them sing to me here! It was a great day and I love being 6 1/2 now!
One day in August we got to go to Branson and see Gramma and Grampa and see the Jesus show at the Sight and Sound Theater! It was so fun! I love seeing shows at that theater. They've taken us to see The Miracle of Christmas and Noah's Ark! I was so excited to see Jesus and loved it! I also loved seeing Gramma and Grampa and swimming at their Branson house pool! They let me get a snow cone and then we also got to have smores at their resort! It was fun!
And then a few days later, Gramma and Grampa came to our house and Gramma took us to paint pottery! I painted a cool rainbow piggy bank and Gramma painted me an ice cream bowl! It was so much fun!
It was their 50th anniversary so we had a little dinner party for them and decorated our dining room with 50th anniversary decorations. That was fun!
Last Friday night we ate dinner at Cici's Pizza and then Mommy and Daddy let us play some games in the arcade. I tried one of the crane game things and I got 2 prizes in one try!! We were all so super excited about this because we thought the crane was going to drop my prizes! It didn't and I got two stuffed dogs that I named Cici and Pepperoni!!
