My First Birthday Party

I turned one year old last Saturday and got to have my birthday party on my actual birthday! It was so much fun. All the people I love were there...Mommy, Daddy, and Lucy, Gramma and Grampa, Gumma and Poppy, Aunt Stephanie, Uncle Nathan, Trevor and Cody, and Aunt Natalie and Aunt Pam and Uncle John. It was a lot of fun having them celebrate with me! I had a really fun day beginning with breakfast in bed, playing with my toys, taking a walk with Gramma and Grampa, eating Cheetos for dinner, eating my birthday cake, and opening my presents and playing with them. I got some really neat toys. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with me!

Twelve Months Old

I'm now twelve months old which is one whole year! This year has gone by really fast and I've grown and learned a whole, whole lot! I really like living with Mommy, Daddy, and Lucy. They're all a lot of fun and I really love them. I probably love Mommy the most, though. :) Here are some things I'm doing now.

• I'm getting more teeth! I have one tooth that's all the way up and now I'm getting four more teeth! Two more on the bottom and two on the top. It's neat to get teeth, but they kind of hurt coming up.
• I weigh 22 pounds and am 28 1/2 inches long! That's a lot from my beginning of 7 pounds 7 ounces and 19 inches long!
• I can stand up on my own and walk! I don't walk all the time because it's really fun and easy to crawl, but walking is getting easier and easier and fun!
• I love to read books! I can turn the pages on my own and I really like the lift-the-flap books, especially my Spot books!
• I've had three ear infections! I had one in December, January and this month. They hurt really bad but Mommy and Daddy are so good to take care of me and give me medicine. Mommy even lets me sleep with her when my ears hurt. She's so nice!

Moving My Toys

I like to move things around, especially my toys. I had to move this toy so I could get behind it and play with the other side. I don't know why Mommy thought it was so funny and took pictures of it. Silly Mommy!

My First Valentine's Day Ever

Yesterday I got to celebrate my very first Valentine's Day! And it was a pretty fun day. It was a Sunday so I got to go to church and play in the nursery with my friends there and then Mommy and Daddy picked me up and we went home. I had a yummy breakfast of pancakes and scrambled eggs and then we had a fun surprise when Gumma and Poppy stopped at our house to say hi. I got to open presents from Mommy and Daddy! They gave me a new pair of jammies and a new Spot book. I love Spot books! We had fun taking pictures and playing on the stairs. I took a good nap and then played with Mommy, Daddy and Lucy. It was a really fun day and a perfect first Valentine's Day!

Just Shopping With My Baby

I like to walk when pushing things around our house and I really like pushing our shopping cart. The other day it was so much fun because the cart was loaded with food and my baby doll was sitting in the seat. I had a lot of fun pushing the cart around pretending I was shopping like Mommy! I'm so cute!

I LOVE Cheetos!

I love Cheetos!! I'm so glad Mommy gave me some one day because I really like them! I know that when Mommy brings out the bag, I get Cheetos! Thanks for giving me Cheetos, Mommy! I love them, but I love you more!

Donuts And The Park!

It was really warm last Saturday so we got to go to the park! First we stopped and had donuts. I love eating donuts! At the park I got to swing and I got to go down a slide. It was so much fun! I can't wait to do it again really soon!

So Tired

Sometimes I get so tired when eating lunch. The other day was one of those days. I didn't have my usual morning nap and I hadn't been sleeping well because I've had an ear infection so by lunchtime, I was t-i-r-e-d! I tried really hard not to fall asleep because I was eating Cheetos and I LOVE to eat Cheetos, but the tired got the best of me and I got a good little five-minute power nap in before I woke up. I guess Mommy thought it was funny because she filmed me falling asleep.

Another New Play Place

I wrote about a new play place I found last fall. You can read about it here. Well, now I have another new play place that is so much fun! It's the bathroom sink! I discovered it one night after my bath when Daddy let me sit down on the bathroom counter. I crawled into the sink and had the best time just sitting there. Mommy and Daddy thought it was really funny. I don't really know why they thought it was so funny. It's a fun place to sit!
