Bath Time With Poppy

When I go to Gumm and Poppy's, Poppy will give me a bath before we go home. He really likes giving me baths and I have fun, too. For a while I got to take a bath in his sink but now I'm too big for the sink and Mommy brings my baby bath to use at their house. I was there a few days ago and Gumma got to bathe me. That was fun, too! Thanks for all the baths, Gumma and Poppy. I love you!

 

My New Hat

I went to my cousin, Cody's, birthday party yesterday. Cody has a pool at his house so I got to go swimming. When Mommy got me dressed in my swimsuit she realized she forgot a hat for me to wear so Aunt Stephanie helped her make a hat for me. We all thought it was pretty cute!

My Cousin, Trevor

I sure do love my cousin, Trevor! He was at Gumma and Poppy's one day when we were there and he is so nice to me. He holds me and plays with me and even helps take care of me. The last time I saw him he held me so I could take a nap. I love you, Trevor!

5 Months Old

I'm 5 months old now! Time has gone by so fast. I can't believe I've been here that long already! Life is going pretty good right now. Here's what's going on in my life right now:

• I sleep from about 9:30pm-8am each night without waking up. Mommy and Daddy are really excited about this!
• I can roll and roll and roll now. Last month I was only able to roll from my back to my stomach. This month I can keep rolling and rolling. It's fun to not be stuck in the same place now!
• I am working on sitting up. I'm almost ready to sit up all on my own, but still have a little trouble keeping my balance and tumble over. Mommy thinks this is kind of funny!
• I eat rice cereal now and really like it. Mommy and Daddy feed it to me at dinner time. It's fun sitting at the table with Mommy, Daddy, and Lucy. I really like my cereal and can't wait for them to give me more foods!
• I love standing on my feet! Mommy or Daddy has to hold on to me because I can't stand on my own, but I love to stand with them holding my hands.
• I really like my sister, Lucy. She is so much fun! I like watching her play and run around and she even comes up and tries to play with me. Sometimes she likes to lay on me and roll me over which isn't so much fun, but I sure do love her!

Bottles!

My Mommy has been so good to feed me these almost 5 months that I've been here. Sometimes she needs a break though and has tried to feed me with a bottle. I haven't really like this much and never ate from her bottle. But, the last month or so I decided that I should give her a little help and eat from a bottle. She is so happy about this but has assured me she will still feed me the majority of the time!

Poppy got to feed me a bottle a few nights ago and I really liked it. I was even able to hold my own bottle for a little bit. Poppy really liked feeding me, too.

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling

Lately I've been working on rolling over. For almost a month now I've been able to roll from my back to my stomach but haven't known how to roll over again. Well, I've finally figured it out and it's a lot of fun! It's nice because I'm not stuck in the same place all the time. Mommy got a video of me doing this today. It's so fun to be able to roll over! 

Cereal!

I got to eat cereal for the first time last weekend! It was okay. It sure was different from the milk I usually eat and I ate it with a spoon, too. That was neat! It was kind of messy, but not too bad. I'm looking forward to trying it again!

My First 4th of July!

I got to celebrate my very first 4th of July yesterday! I went with Mommy, Daddy, and Lucy to Gumma and Poppy's house for the day and had a lot of fun. I got to go swimming, sleep, and watch fireworks.

I also had some really neat 4th of July outfits to wear and Mommy took lots of pictures of me in them. She's so good to take pictures of me!

I had fun swimming in the little pool with Mommy and Lucy. Maybe next time I'll get to swim in the big pool! After swimming I took a nap and then got to play with Poppy. I like playing with him! He's fun! I also got to watch fireworks and that was really neat!

Mommy and I made this shirt! Isn't it neat?! That's my handprint on the shirt!
