Going Down The Steps

I like to play on the little steps that go down to our family room from our kitchen. I pretty much taught myself how to do it, too. I go face first and it totally works for me. Mommy and Daddy like to watch me do this because they think it's funny.

Climbing The Stairs

I love to climb on things, and I especially love to climb up the stairs! Mommy and Daddy let me climb up the stairs whenever we go up for nap time or bed time. One of them always walks behind me to make sure I don't fall. I'm getting pretty good at it and think it's a lot of fun! I climb up the stairs, but not down the stairs! Sometimes it helps to have something to go climb to because I tend to get distracted. Mommy took this video last month and I've gotten a lot faster on the stairs since then!

10 Months Old!

I'm 10 months old now! As usual, Mommy and Daddy say I am so much fun! And I think they're right. I like to have fun and laugh at Mommy, Daddy, and Lucy. Here are things I have done this month and like to do now:

• I love to pull up on everything and cruise all over the house. I even like to walk when holding on to Mommy and Daddy's hands. The other day I even stood on my own for like 5 seconds. Mommy was sooo proud of me and I was pretty proud of myself, too!
• I celebrated my very first Thanksgiving! I got to go to Gramma and Grampa's house for Thanksgiving and I had a fun time there.
• I got my first tooth! It's on the bottom and has slowly come up. I like to rub my tongue on it and play with it. I don't have anymore teeth yet. Maybe this month!
• I can say Mama, Dada, and baby. I can also say "my version" (as Mommy says) of bottle, dog, and ball.
• I love to drink! I love to drink milk, water, and juice. I get really excited when I see a bottle or sippy cup coming my way!
• I love to eat cheese and crackers! I have them most every meal and really, really like them. I also discovered that I like mashed potatoes, hot dogs, and yogurt. Daddy's excited that I like yogurt because he likes it, too.
• I love, love, love to play peek-a-boo still! It's probably my most favorite game to play.
• I got to meet Santa Claus and sit on his lap. We didn't talk much, but it was neat to see him.
• I can crawl down the little step that goes from our kitchen to our family room. I go head first and Mommy and Daddy laugh each time I do this. I really like playing on the steps.
• I love to pull things, especially all of Lucy's shoes, out of her shoe box. I also like to pull all of the wipes out of the wipe box!
• I like to watch the Andy Griffith Show with Mommy and Lucy at lunchtime. I like the theme song and always stop what I'm doing to watch the TV when it comes on.
• I really like life. Mommy says I'm the perfect mix of happy and calm. I'll take that!

Brushing My Hair

I love to brush my hair and Mommy and Daddy are so impressed that I can do this! They think it's really neat that once they give me a brush, I know exactly what to do with it. Mommy says I'm so smart and loves to see me brush my hair!

Gymnastics!

Sometimes Mommy takes Lucy to gymnastics where she gets to run around and play and jump on a trampoline for a while. We went a few weeks ago and usually I'm asleep when we go, but this time I was awake so I got to play, too. I had a lot of fun crawling around and climbing on things. I love to climb and had a lot of fun. I hope to get to go back to gymnastics again soon! Thanks for taking me, Mommy! I love you! 

 

I Love To Climb!

I've been crawling around for a while now and really like getting around from place to place. I've recently discovered something else I like, too: climbing!! It's really fun to climb up on things, especially the white rocking chair we have. Mommy likes to take pictures of me climbing, so I guess it's okay to do!

Story Time At The Library

Mommy has taken me and Lucy to story time at the library and it's been a lot of fun! I got to sing songs, listen to a librarian tell a story, and then I got to play with toys! I really like the library! And after story time was over I got to play with more toys with Lucy. I really like going to the library. Thanks for taking me, Mommy!

Santa Claus!

I got to meet Santa Claus last week! I didn't talk to him very long, but he seems like a very nice man. I didn't even cry when I sat on his lap and Mommy and Daddy were really proud of me! I can't wait to see him again!

 

A Car Ride!

I got to play in a fun little car at Gramma and Grampa's house. Daddy pushed me around the room and it was really neat to move like I did! I even got to turn the steering wheel!

My First Thanksgiving!

I celebrate my very first Thanksgiving ever yesterday! I think I like Thanksgiving. I got to sleep in, and some yummy breakfast, and then we took a long car ride to go see Gramma and Grampa Wiseman in Kansas City. I slept for some of the trip and was really glad to get out of the car when we got there! I had some of the yummy food and Mommy and Daddy ate. I ate a little bit of turkey, mashed potatoes, and sweet potatoes. I got a lot of food in my hair, too!

I was so tired that I went to sleep really well that night and slept all night long. Mommy and Daddy were really happy about that, I think! I had a pretty Thanksgiving outfit to wear that Mommy got me. She's so good like that!

9 Months Old

I'm 9 months old now! Mommy said that means I've been outside of her tummy for the same amount of time I was inside her tummy. Whatever that means! I really, really like life now. I love to have fun and smile and laugh. Mommy calls me her little cuddle bug because I love to cuddle with her and Daddy, too. Here are some more things I'm doing right now:

•  I weigh 19 pounds and am 28 1/4" tall. Mommy was really surprised that I weight 19 pounds! She said my sister and I are the same length at 9 months, but Lucy weighed 21 pounds when she was my age.
• I can crawl on my hands and knees and get around really fast. I love being able to crawl. Mommy likes to hear my hands slap on the floor when I crawl and she's still so surprised at how fast I get around.
• I love to pull up on everything! Standing is so much fun! I try to stand on my own sometimes but always end up falling over when I do.
• I really like to eat "table food" as Mommy calls it. I've really liked all the baby food I've eaten but now the table food tastes so much better! I love mac and cheese, waffles, chocolate chip muffins, yogurt, and grilled cheese sandwiches to name a few. I like eggies, but the few times I've had one I've gotten a rash on my face. The dr said it was okay, but I bet I won't eat them as much now.
• I love to play peek-a-boo! It's so much fun!
• I learned how to slide down the little steps from our kitchen to our family room. Mommy and Daddy are so impressed with me! And I can crawl up the stairs to my bedroom when Mommy or Daddy is walking behind me. I love to get around!
• I take a 30 minute nap in the morning and about a 1.5-2.5 hour nap in the afternoon, just depending. I sleep from about 8:15pm-7:45am. Once I've fallen asleep, I really like to sleep!

Waking Up

I think the favorite part of my day is when Mommy comes in to wake me up in the morning! I'm always so excited to see her and can't wait to get out of bed so I can give her a hug. She took a picture and video of me the other day when I woke up. I love my Mommy!

My Eight Month Pictures

Mommy took me to have my eight month pictures taken last month and she finally got them back last weekend. I had to share them with you! She says I'm so cute and I agree with her. I love my pink cowboy boots, don't you?!

My New Play Place

I have a new place to play, but I don't get to play there very often. I have to be really sneaky to get to play there. It's fun until Mommy or Daddy says I can't play there anymore. They say that the dishwasher is for washing dishes, not for me to play in. Boo to Mommy and Daddy!

 

My Feeding Helper

Lucy got to feed me lunch the other day! It was fun having her feed me and she did a really good job, too! Thanks for your help, Lucy! I love you!

My First Halloween!

Today is October 31, which means it's Halloween. It's a special one because it's my very first Halloween ever! I had a lot of fun on my first Halloween and got to go trick-or-treating with Mommy, Daddy, Lucy, and even Gumma and Poppy! Mommy dressed me up like a cabbage patch kid. She even dressed me as a pumpkin and a lady bug, too, but only to take pictures! I had fun walking around our neighborhood and asking for candy. Lucy and I got a lot of candy and I liked looking through it when we got home! I can't wait until next year to go trick-or-treating again!
